Whole Wheat French Toast

We like to use French Toast as a variety for breakfast.  This is one breakfast meal you can make fast and the kids will think they are having a delicacy for breakfast.  We made our French toast even more flavor-able by using heavy cream instead of milk for our batter.  The cream made a rich, wonderful French toast.  The whole wheat bread simply adds to the wholesome flavor.  I have found that white bread...white flour pancakes..white flour waffles...white flour biscuits are so rubbery and tasteless.  The whole-grains not only add nutrients to your foods but the flavor is bar-none the best.

When do we do our 'fancy' breakfast themes?  Saturday mornings.  This has become our tradition to make some sort of specialty breakfast.  This past Saturday French Toast won out for our breakfast choice.
