So this year's Ginger bread town has been completed and now being eaten wall by wall, piece by piece. It is such a great ginger bread dough! Yum. I posted the recipe on my blog, if you want to try it out!
The kids, once again, divided the board into sections to take dominion and make their theme. The boys were voting for Radiator Springs from the movie "Cars" but their sister couldn't make the odd shaped dome houses. She convinced them that a normal Ginger Bread Town would fit the spot this year. Her bribery to the boys was lots of candy! They, to their hearts content, piled candy in their perspective territory with the hopes of being the designated devourer of their section. Humm...mom put a stop to the candy consumption. Such a kill joy mom can be. lol
We wondered as the blizzard hit our humble abode on Christmas Eve, if our Ginger Bread Town had been prophetic with its downed power lines made with liquorish strands. I think next year I will vote for a Ginger Bread Town theme of a Hawaiian balmy Christmas! Hope you all had a great Christmas.
