St. Patrick's Day Tarts

This delicious tart is a fun and quick treat you can make for St. Patrick's Day. Do you ever have your kids come to you and say, "Hey mom, did I tell you that I am supposed to take something to the party tomorrow...tonight...today?" This tart is fast to make and can be ready to serve in about 30-45 minutes. It looks like you have spent hours to prepare and the visual effect gives a 'wow' look! :) Hope you like them as much as we do.

Shamrock Tarts:
1 cup butter softened
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
2 cups sifted whole wheat flour*

Mix the ingredients with your Bosch gourmet whips. Shape into 1" balls and press into ungreased miniature muffin cups. Bake 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool and carefully remove from pan.

Spoon Pistachio Pudding onto each tart. Refrigerate.

*I use whole white wheat flour to make the tarts. I sifted the flour with the L'Equip Flour Sifter which is one of my favorite attachments for the Bosch Universal Mixer. We do a lot of baking and the flour sifter takes the bran out of the whole wheat flour making a light, cake flour type flour. It makes the baked goods light and fluffy. This is a real plus for the tarts as you want them to be flaky.

Note from Paula:
You can use the above homemade pistachio pudding as the topping or simply buy the box pudding. Bottom line, this is just a fun dessert to make green come alive for a St. Patrick's Day.

If you don't want it to be a St. Patrick's Day treat, put your favorite jam on the tart. These are delicious. My kids like to eat them without any topping. Can I say Yummy?!
