Parmesan Garlic Dinner Rolls

First, start with the basic bread recipe. There so many wonderful things you can make with this basic bread recipe. (Click here for the recipe)

Make the bread dough into golf ball size dough balls. See below.

Many have heard of Monkey Bread but there is another twist to this same method of Monkey Bread (pull aparts)by using garlic and Parmesan cheese.

Next roll the dough balls into melted butter. Then, roll the buttered dough ball in a Parmesan cheese and garlic powder.

Bake 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. This is excellent dinner roll. In fact, I made it for dinner and had to leave on an errand. I came home to find my dinner rolls had mysteriously disappeared with sheepish children and hubby smiling. They are a real hit and easy to make. :)

Remember you can do this same process but roll the buttered dough balls in a cinnamon sugar mixture for a wonderful dessert. I cook mine in a bunt pan for a beautiful dessert presentation!

  3. Sorry for not replying to your questions immediately. They slipped through the cracks as life happened at the Sutton abode. The basic bread recipe can be found on my web site (www.paulasbread.com) Look under recipes on the tool bar. I used 1 cup of Parmesan cheese and 1 tsp garlic. I simply needed a bowl with the ingredients so I could roll and coat the buttery dough balls. It was kind of a shame that I threw the excess cheese mixture away.

I didn't let them rise but put them in the oven. They began to rise and then bake. These were/are so fast to make. Makes for a fabulous bread for dinner. My mouth is watering just thinking about this garlic bread. :)
