Tacos with a Flair!
If you look at the picture you will think these are bought or perhaps you buy these type taco shells in the store. Now, you can make your own! You can go really homemade and make your own homemade flour tortillas. A side note to this, I love my Chef Pro Tortilla maker.. The trick is the Stainless Steel Muffin Pan!! Would you have guessed your muffin pan would be a part of your tacos? This is a fun way to turn tortillas into a TACO with a FLAIR!! You pull out your stainless steel muffin pan and turn it upside down.
Step One: Spray the bottom of the muffin pan with Vegaline cooking spray. Press the fresh tortilla between the the muffin cups. See the pic!
Step Two: Bake the tortillas 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown. They get crispy quick so watch them!!
Step Three: Make your tacos.
What is the best to have the hot taco shells come out of the oven and all the toppings ready for you to make the tacos to serve OR you can have the toppings in bowls for your guests to make their own. My family lined up and made their tacos and love it!!
TOPPING IDEAS:
Ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning
Chopped tomatoes
Chopped onions
Chopped lettuce*
Shredded cheese
Sour cream
Picante sauce
*Your Bosch slicer/shredder is a wonderful attachment to help with your kitchen work and this is just one more wonderful places the Bosch slicer/shredder will shine!! Use the French fry cutter to shred all the iceberg lettuce you will need for your tacos...taco salad...salads...etc.
